With an outside diameter of only 7.5 inches and weighing in at 11 lbs., Mini AERCam achieves its 'nanosatellite' size by a combination of dense packaging and miniaturized components. The Mini AERCam's central ring provides the majority of the vehicle's structural support, and provides a base to which the subsytems are mounted.
